Usagi’s little anxiety dream in episode 62 is pretty heartbreaking to me.  She has already been mature about letting Ami go, but she’s sad about it (as any young girl would be, losing a close friend).  And then of course she’s still reeling from Mamoru breaking up with her - so she dreams about both of them walking away from her where she can’t reach them and she cries out to them in her sleep.

Oh, and Mamoru says, “Good-bye, Odango atama.” when he leaves her (instead of, say, “Usagi” or “Usako” or anything else.) 

Ahh this is so her too. Friends, lover - never one over the other or occupying different realms of her heart. Both in the same place.
