villains ragging on tuxedo mask is my favorite thing
womanizer outfit xD
Quiet. I don’t want to hear that from you.
I can’t even do ridic commentary on this response Tuxedo Kamen just does it himself.
- why did I think he was holding an iPad?
- he could easily be holding an iPad
- scrolling finger is ready look
- why are you reading at like, the movies anyway mamoru?
- you square
- unless, in fact, you are king endymion, and this is the baller home theatre in the crystal palace that you have taken to hiding in because you are a ~man of the shadows~
- or more likely the ornate wooden chair at your desk was just hurting your ass
- god bless this means you don’t wear the barney tuxedo all the time
- ok it all makes sense now
- except the flowery vest, yeah, no.
- at least you tried
Rewatching the first season of Sailor Moon and did this for a laugh. Seriously, Tuxedo Mask is either incredibly epic and oober-cool or completely over the top FAAAAAAAAAAAABULOUS.
And I’m not even exaggerating, mind you. They actually do all the things portrayed above to each other…I just peppered the dialogue.
Yeah. Pretty much. XD Tux is a giant dork. A fabulous giant dork.
He just thought he was really pretty, okay? XDDDD
oh you two. never change
oh ho ho ho ho oh ho ho!!
DO WANT
this is lovely to wake up to.
Probably I should save this for lj, but it’s so easy to post right on the reblogged image… and I really loved this part of the manga. One of the best things about the manga relationship between Mamoru and Usagi is that Naoko genuinely dealt with the jealousy between these two, especially in the Black Moon and Infinity arcs. Chibi-Usa’s introduction into their lives, Haruka’s interest in Usagi, both of those things caused tension between this couple that had to be dealt with.
And I love that. I love it because it’s a natural thing that crops up in relationships that has to be dealt with, especially in two people who are still very young. I love that they dealt with it in a pretty mature and healthy way, I love that it only made them stronger in the end, I love that being attracted to other people sometimes in no way meant the end of their relationship. There’s something very real about a relationship that can be put through that kind of test and come out better for it.
THIS PANEL. His looking straight at her and being so earnest and laying it out there, and she can’t even take it in because, “wait, you? JEALOUS? how?”. Both of them are always ready to believe the other couldn’t possibly be as invested, but both of totally are, without question, and it’s perfect. Oh, anime. Forever weepy you left this golden stuff out. Protective vulnerable orphan Mamoru is my favorite Mamoru.

Soo I realize the outfit is for a girl, but thats ok, look how cute he looks. Also I changed the ring to be an earring so the touch of red could be in there, but you cant really see it so it doesnt matter I guess hehe.

I also ran screaming to tammaiya for this one, because I had to know if it said what I think it said. She replied that they said:
“Please, Endymion sama, may I have your daughter—”
“ABSOLUTELY NOT.”
I LAUGHED FOREVER. GOOD TO KNOW I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THAT THOUGHT. Poor Helios. It has to be so hard being in love with the boss’ precious baby daughter. For some reason I don’t see Mamoru being unreasonable about Chibiusa and Helios. I mean, come on, he’s a PRIEST. Mamoru doesn’t seem like the type that would her way, and I doubt Chibiusa would allow him too anyway. He’d probably be nervous about it of course, but more in a “……….where are they going? They’ll be back soon, right?” type of way (Usagi would giggle “I hope not!”)
I don’t think the anime version of Mamoru would probably have as much of a problem, but I can see some over-protectiveness in the manga version of him—he’s a lot more intense than his anime counterpart and fiercely protective of those he loves. And, with Chibi-Usa, he has a lot of extra reasons to feel overprotective, given how much she’s been through, how lonely she was without her parents around while she was in their time, and so on. I don’t think he’d carry it to unreasonable levels (and I don’t think Chibi-Usa reacts against him as wildly in the manga as she does in the anime, so she’d defer to him longer), but he’d certainly be a hard sell, even to Helios, who is his priest and Mamoru knows he’s a gentle soul. That’s not the point. His baby girl is still too young. :|X
Good point! The relationship dynamic is certainly a little different in the manga. In any case, I wonder sometimes about Chibiusa and Helios ever being together together in the same way her parents are, him being tied to an alternate dimension and all. Is he still there in the future she returns to? Does he age? Can he leave Elysian or have someone take his place?
